The modern social media formula is stale, repetitive and leans in favor of algorithm / popularity driven town squares rather than enabling users to build their little corners on the internet.
I wanted to retrofit that experience, putting users and their personal experience, satisfaction and well-being above everything else.
With Dhaaga, I am building tools to help us express ourselves better, easily discover and keep up-to-date with our interests, personalise our experience, make the best out of our time spent online and ensure that the experience feels fun, fulfilling and authentic.
Dhaaga strives to offer the best SNS and Chat experience. So, the design goal is to perform those tasks well, while adding extra features and QoL improvements around those features.
If a certain feature is niche, rarely used, or better experienced on the website itself, then those features are usually de-prioritised or skipped entirely.
The app is free to use. No feature paywalls. However, I do charge a nominal fee for features that require time/effort to upkeep. Also, when implemented, custom skins will be paid, to support development and pay artists.
